They'll be scheduled posts at 8pm, and due to that, there will not be much readable content until I'm back. What to expect over the week? We'll be seeing quite a bit from Comedy, as well as Chat Shows, Gameshows, Music, Schools TV, Light Entertainment, Adverts, Continuity and Idents and Drama.
Hopefully I can drag all new posts to that time permanently. EDIT: Looks like I won't have any descriptions for now.

New Look Youtube!
I've already seen previews of the new look, where you are randomly selected to view this mess...just kidding! Well tonight, it looks to be here for full-time? The new look appears more cleaner with a lack of borders around related videos and comments.
I'm not sure whether I prefer the new look. The best thing about it, is an even longer list of related videos, however it seems less accessible to get to the members videos. I know you can select the member's down arrow, and you can scan the list of his/her videos from there, however, the video screen is in the way, so that's not very good. However, that's just a glitch, and I've seen from previous experience, the video screen jumps down to make way for the videos. However, just looks untidy now. Another plus though, is more people might subscribe to users now, with the button and username being in a more central position. That's all I have to say now, but a mixed responce from me.
Also, I have heard about the news of the "Digital Bill" being passed in the House of Lords. So there's threats that Youtube could be blocked from the UK, which is worrying for a "westernised" country like us, now wanting to emulate China. There are some things in the world, which are just too big to stop. If Youtube was blocked in the UK, well, this blog might as well become "UK TV Nostalgia On Dailymotion" or just in more general terms.There would be riots in the street if Youtube was blocked in the UK. Plus for Youtube, the UK is a big market, Youtube may receive a large chunk of revenue away, but America must make up over half the market, in saying that. Plus some of their biggest shows like "Britain's Got Talent" get worldwide appeal and huge youtube viewings, and hence more viewers for the TV show. So you mean to say, all those BBC channels and Channel 4 videos are all going to go to waste with their target audience gone and only overseas viewers. This is gestapo-like proportions if it happens, but I'm veering towards no, it won't happen!

New non-Youtube Section Still to come, Plans for this blog + A New Genre!
First let's introduce the new genre. Rather like picking at holes, as there are a minority of programmes, that don't fit into any of the categorys. We're talking about programmes like TV-AM, GMTV, BBC Breakfast Time and The Big Breakfast! There is quite alot of material on Youtube from these programmes alone.
So a colour goes with this new genre:
Breakfast TV - Light Orange
Coming soon to this blog will be a new label called "Nostalgia Articles". Look out for that. These will be non-video posts, giving us a more in-depth experience of how some of us like to wallow in nostalgia, and think they were better days, what do we get out of watching it now, and what are similarities and differences to TV and culture today compared to previous decades over the course of the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. It can involve any of the genres included.
As I have said before, I've been meaning to write one up, might be short, particulary about Youtube.
Possibly beginning next month (March), I will begin to accept either through a entry thingie here, or via email, to talk about certain Youtube videos, like what I'm doing, on TV nostalgia. All you would need to do is give a decent opinion and description about the video in question, doesn't have to be too long at all, and I will post it here, with you're name as the author of the post, at the bottom of the post. The main aim of this blog, is as well as being a good read for some, but to also provide a large personable and exclusive UK TV Nostalgia bank that helps the viewer find that programme they can't find a name of, or being a nostalgia lover yourself, be able to find the sort of clips/programmes you haven't managed to uncover. Also it's important to keep the blog going, as some will inevitably be removed from Youtube. This blog removes the filler to just pure nostalgia, some good, some bad. Sometimes searching through related videos just isn't enough.
Youtube has a quite good "recommended for you" section, but once again there is filler, or you don't know what it is, so you won't bother going to that video. However, that video may be gold for you, if you did click on it, that's why knowledge is key, and that's why the descriptions are of use too.
You will be able to do you're Nostalgia Articles as well, once the entry form/email is up. I'd just like to build up the blog right now for the next month or maybe more.

New Links and Discussion of Links....
I have added all-new links attached to the blog, now under the labels section.
80snostalgia.com - Great site that has used some real effort in their website. Also has it;s own video player, to watch 80's adverts and articles on various TV programmes. It's a fusion of many, from 80's karaoke to buying retro 80's T-shirts! Play old school console games (just a few) from the good old Spectrum/C64 and Sega Master System days. Has a forum, but isn't very active. The best part is, the webmasters host interviews with icons of the 80's such as "Bullseye's" Jim Bowen! Yes!
Popular Nostalgia - Actually, kind of like what I've been doing with this blog! But a more, shall we say, independent blog, featuring such British shows like "The Really Wild Show", "Noel's House Party" and "The Clangers". So it's really the most appropiate link to add here. However, from face value there seems to be quite alot of video material, however, when you yield through the decade list, there isn't really that much, and also, some posts were added so long ago, that the videos have been removed from Youtube. That is a problem that has to be addressed for this blog, which must be kept fresh. However, some good ideas I can take from this blog, inclusion posts from other users. Nice.
Nostalgia Critic - This website is from across the pond (USA), and features humourous nostalgic film/cartoon rants videos from a section of the "thatguywiththeglasses.com" website, by Doug Walker. He reviews some very well-known films and TV Programmes, that have featured on British TV, mainly cartoons, like Ninja Turtles and He-man: Masters of the Universe. The link is really there, because there is no British counterpart from the viral community, who pokes fun at nostlagia over here.

Some More Changes to the Labels...
Firstly, I would like to say a welcome to this blog, and I hope you find some or all the content here, to be genuinely helpful and interesting. Expect videos and posts to come on a daily basis, right now, I'm usually doing 2 a day, but would like to increase that to 3 or more. It can be seen as an alternative service for nostalgia on Youtube, but you may also like the reading. I hope the genre colour-code works for you too.
I also hope to post more non-video posts, more like articles, just right now thinking of some good ideas for articles. I have one already based on what does actually annoy me about Youtube, nostalgia-related. I'll reveal all in a later post.
I was unable to post for a few days this month though, as I had some computer problems.
Now that the genres are bulked up a little, I've re-organised the list, to make it less hassle to scroll through, as it will be massive eventually, with all those TV programmes. The most important and posted sections are at the top.
Changes to the Labels yet again: I'll be going through the older posts, and you'll be able to search this blog's posts not only through the decades, years and genres, but through the TV channels, they were shown on, unless they're VHS releases. So we'll have BBC (BBC 1 & 2 merged), ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 (has no clips yet) and also Sky, not really important right now to have "Sky One, Sports" but for "Sky News", yes.

TV Ark - Watch classic titles of your BBC/ITV drama, your children's, your PIFs, adverts and etc. on the local, easily accessible video player.
TV Cream - The best all-round UK TVnostalgia site out there. An A-Z of classic and obscure shows, a forum and more youtube video links.
Do You Remember? - Now this is class. Discuss and re-discover toys/sweets/food/drink/music/TV/basically anything from 1970's, 80's and 90's culture. Random memories pop up and are a great help to much-missed products/programmes you miss, but can't seem to put a finger on a name. Also includes a forum and blog.
I will be including more links as time goes on.

Update: New Genres Added and Genre Colour Code
I've managed to discover how to customize the embedded youtube video colours, that were very limited beforehand. Each genre's video and text will now be different colours or variants of a colour. Why? It makes the blog look more appealing and attractive. The black background makes all the colours readable, really, and it doesn't hurt you're eyes like some other sites...cough...Angelfire...cough.
Ultimately, there's quite a few genres missing from the earlier Sweepstake series. 1 or 2 are probably of smaller importance, but on youtube, there can be alot of this type.
The new genres, with their blog colour code, are:
Arts & Culture - dark violet
News - dark blue
Continuity and Idents - aqua (green/blue)
Politics - blue
Chat Shows - light yellow
They will be alongside the other genres with the colours:
Adverts - light green (changed from green)
Children's - pink
Comedy - yellow
Documentary - gold (changed from white)
Drama - brown (changed from sky blue)
Gameshows - purple
Light Entertainment - green
Music - light blue
Public Information Films - light red (changed from grey)
Saturday Mornings - red
Schools TV - dark green (changed from grey)

About the Blog Labels
Please use the labels to help find your desired show, as well as more additions i will add along very soon. Due to what i expect, will be a fairly large collection of videos, i will categorize the posts also into decades (1960s) and specific years when possible. This will of course be of more help to you, if you still want to generally browse, but a more refined search. This will be better especially, as I've only started and material is thin on the ground here.
Click on the labels at the side of the page, or click on the labels/links that are availiable at the bottom of each post, such as the genre (already included) and shows/clips from the same time period.
